FAQs

1) Which airline shall I fly with?

You can fly directly via Air Mauritius or British Airways which is a 11-12 hour flight. If you prefer a transit in Dubai, you can also fly with Emirates.

There is only 1 airport in Mauritius: Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (SSRI) which is located in the south of the island.

2) How long should I book for?

If you have never been to Mauritius before, you can make a holiday out of it! We recommend between 7-10 days e.g 12th April - 21st April.

We may organise some group activities like a boat day on the week of the wedding so if you do come earlier that week, let us know!

3) Will I need to apply for a tourist visa?

If you have a UK passport you don't need to apply for a visa beforehand, you will receive a tourist visa on arrival! For any other passports please see the visa requirements by country by clicking on below link.

Just like the UK, the most common plug is type G is the plug which has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Mauritius operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Weather

It's still summer in April - Mauritius has average daily temperatures ranging between 22°C  and 28°C. The weather is usually warm and humid during the day, making it ideal for beach activities and water sports. The evenings are slightly cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 18°C.

Mauritius is a tropical island, meaning that regardless of the “season” rain showers should always be expected but are usually transient, pray for us!
